The First International “Khesht-e Sevom” Festival is being organized by the “National Congress of Commanders, Generals, and Two Thousand Martyrs of Bushehr Province,” with extensive participation from governmental organizations and institutions, cultural centers, and renowned private companies. This festival has been designed to commemorate “the third defense of the Iranian people against enemy aggression” (referred to as the “Third Sacred Defense” or “Hybrid Warfare”).
If the first brick was laid during the eight-year defense of the Iranian people against the Ba’athist regime of Iraq, and the second brick was laid in defense of the shrines and the sanctity of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the aggression of the Zionist regime, then the third brick narrates the valor of a nation that, amid soft and hybrid warfare, defended its identity, land, and honor against the aggressor United States and the criminal Israel.
After two decades of military Sacred Defense against two aggressor enemies—the Ba’athist and the Zionist—the Islamic Republic of Iran has entered a new phase of confrontation with foreign enemies; a war pursued through assassination, missiles, and drones, combined with crippling sanctions, an all-out media war, cyberattacks, and a policy of maximum pressure diplomacy. In this “Third Sacred Defense,” the Iranian people, through military innovations, jihadi spirit, economic resilience, and civic vigilance, have achieved lasting victories. However, this great epic has not yet been narrated, documented, and appreciated as it deserves. The International “Khesht-e Sevom” Festival has been designed to fill this gap and to honor this modern-day resistance. The name “Khesht-e Sevom” (The Third Brick) symbolizes a sturdy edifice built upon military capability and popular will.
